Our Facility

Our students dance in our newly renovated studios in the historic home of the Betty Spooner School of the Dance in downtown Everett.

This landmark building, built in 1905 has been home to a grocery store, a thrift store, the Betty Spooner School of the Dance and now, The Dance School.

Through a community fundraising effort, this memory filled building has been brought to today's dancing standards with sprung floors, new facilities and two, large high-ceilinged, daylight studios.

The study of dance cannot be separated from the music which inspires movement. Our studio pianists will provide live accompaniment for the upper level ballet classes and other classes as appropriate.

We are located just North of Hewitt Avenue and one block South of the Everett YMCA. There is parking on the street, as well as at the Port Gardner Parking Garage at 1712 California (the corner of Rockefeller and California).

From the North
Take I-5 South to Exit number 194 - US-2/Everett Avenue. Take the Everett Avenue ramp towards the City Center. Turn right onto Everett Avenue. Turn left onto Rockefeller Avenue, we are two blocks South on the left.

From the South
Take I-5 North to exit number 192 - Broadway (exit is on now on the RIGHT side of freeway). The exit will take you onto Broadway Avenue heading North. Turn left onto Hewitt Avenue and then Right onto Rockefeller Avenue. We are in the middle of the block on the right.

From the East
Merge onto US-2 West. Turn slight left to take the I-5 S ramp toward Seattle/ Everett/Hewitt Avenue. Take the ramp toward Hewitt Avenue/City Center. Turn slight right onto California Street. Turn left onto Rockefeller, we are on your left.
